It’s weird being on a blog with followers. I post anything, and it gets attention.

I made a new one a while ago, and whereas I love it to bits and pieces, the anonymity is really weird.

I could be like, “My cat died.” and no one would ever care. But I don’t have a cat, and it never died.

“This shot is the most expensive shot in silent film history. It was filmed in a single take, that had to be perfect, with a real train and a ‘dummy’ engineer (notice the white arm hanging out the conductors window). Some of the locals who came to watch the filming, thought the dummy was a real person and screamed in horror; supposedly, one person even fainted.”

20 outfits, 20 pieces of clothing, 20 days... twice!→

My friend and I decided to do a little remake of the 30 by 30 outfit challenge and do 20 school days instead.

The outfits are more comfy swag and practical style based than high fashion, but this blog will document our journey to personal development this month!

Check it out if you’d like!

Russian architects Arch Group have completed the first of their tiny hotel rooms for napping at airports. The Sleepbox unit at Moscow’s Sheremetyevo airport contains two beds and can be rented for between 30 minutes and several hours. The pod is equipped with LED reading lamps as well as sockets for charging laptops and mobile phones.

Imagine the situation where you are in a modern city, you are not a local resident, and you have not booked a hotel. It is not a comfortable situation because modern aggressive cities give you no opportunity to rest and relax. If you want to sleep while waiting for your plane or train, you face many security and hygiene problems. We believe that urban infrastructure should be more comfortable. For this purpose we have developed Sleepbox. It provides moments of quiet sleep and rest without wasting time in search for a hotel.

Possible locations for Sleepbox include:

  • Railroad stations
  • Airports
  • Exhibition centers
  • Public and shopping centers
  • Accommodation facilities

Available options include:

  • Matted film on windows with changing transparency
  • Mood lighting – LED lamps with changing light colors
  • Built-in media block (TV, touch-screen monitor)
  • Wi-Fi router
  • Alarm, intercom
  • Safe deposit box
  • Built-in payment station with magnetic keys

“You say that you love rain, but you open your umbrella when it rains. You say that you love the sun, but you find a shadow spot when the sun shines. You say that you love the wind, but you close your windows when wind blows. This is why I am afraid, you say that you love me too.”

Probability

infinitedge:

What are the chances of say, being dealt the ace of hearts from a pack of cards?  1 in 52, these, are pretty slim chances. The thing to remember though is that, for every single card, there is only a 1 in 52 chance that the card will be dealt to you. Yet, every time a pack of cards is dealt, that 1 in 52 chance comes up and you get a card. So despite the fact that the odds against this happening are pretty enormous, it still happened. Don’t let steep odds fool you, they happen all the time. The odds of a man dating a supermodel are 1 in 880,000 but that doesn’t mean that supermodels don’t date because the odds are against it.Amazing odds happen all the time, there’s a lot more luck in the world than you think

A kid wants a $97 pair of glasses, so he borrows $50 from his mom and $50 from his dad. He has $100 total and gets $3 back from the glasses. He gives $1 back to his mom and $1 to his dad and keeps one for himself. So he still owes his mom and dad both $49 each, $49 each would equal $98 plus the $1 he kept. That adds up to $99, WHERE IS THE OTHER DOLLAR?

Take a large bowl and cream the butter and sugar together. Add eggs one at a time, and then vanilla.
Alternate adding flour and buttermilk, beginning and ending with flour (this is what Heather said on her blog, I don’t understand the huge point of doing this, but I trust her judgement)
In a separate dish, mix the cocoa powder and red food coloring until it creates a paste. Add the paste into the mixture.
Mix the baking soda and cider vinegar and as it’s foaming, mix it into the cake mix.
Bake for roughly 20 minutes, and enjoy!

Diana,
We are preparing for life

Let this be a life used for change.

wanderers online

Hello! I'm Diana. Apparently I'm awkward, but I try my best to be a good person. I love helping others accomplish things, because I appreciate the people who help me with my aspirations so much. I'm a strong follower of God, my faith makes up a lot of my identity. I'm using this summer to grow- to really experience and prioritize my life. However, tumblr is where I am able to just escape a little. I hope you respect that & I wish you all the best. Enjoy (:
